AFTERSCHOOL SITE DIRECTOR

Partnership with Children provides critical counseling, school-wide services, and family and community outreach in high-poverty, New York City public schools so students can reach their full potential. Partnership with Children is seeking an Afterschool Site Director who, under the supervision of the Program Director, will be responsible for management of all aspects of an elementary school afterschool program. This includes supervising staff, ensuring program quality, managing relationships with school personnel and families, maintaining compliance with funder and city regulations, and creating a safe, welcoming environment for students.


Key Responsibilities:
Program Leadership & Quality 

  • Plan, implement, and oversee daily afterschool program activities that align with organizational mission and goals. 
  • Ensure a balance of academic support, enrichment, and recreational activities that are engaging and age-appropriate. 
  • Monitor and assess program quality through regular observations and staff and family feedback. 
Staff Supervision & Development 
  • Recruit, hire, train, and supervise a team of Group Leaders and Activity Specialists, 
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development. 
  • Lead regular staff meetings and maintain strong communication with the team. 
Partnership & Communication 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with school administration and staff. 
  • Communicate regularly with families about program activities, student progress, and any concerns. 
  • Represent the program at school and community events. 
Operations & Compliance 
  • Maintain compliance with funder and NYC DOH requirements. 
  • Manage program budget, attendance tracking, and data reporting. 
  • Ensure safe arrival, dismissal, and emergency procedures are followed. 

Qualifications:
  • Commitment to demonstrating PWC’s organizational values of Collaboration, Continuous Learning, Going to Solution, Equity & Inclusion, and Passion
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Work, Youth Development, or related field  
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working in youth development, education, or afterschool settings, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role. 
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Knowledge of SACC regulations 
  • Commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive programming. 
  • Required to complete SACC Program Director's credentials. Must complete 30 hours of approved training every two years with 15 hours completed within the first six (6) months of employment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook, Canva, Zoom, Adobe PDF Editor


Hours:
  • Full Time/In-Person/Year-round position
  • Schedule-Monday through Friday, primarily 10:00am-6:30pm(some evenings/weekends for events)


Salary and Benefits:
Salary range is $60,000-$65,000 commensurate to credentials and experience.
